Released just three years before frontman Peter Steele’s untimely passing in 2010, no one knew at the time that Type O Negative’s Dead Again album would ultimately be their last. And though the goth-metal dicks’ seventh full-length sounds fittingly funereal, this had obviously always been the vibe for the Drab Four. Between its faster-paced and punky pieces and depressively heartbroken gloom-ballads (“She Burned Me Down”), it remains a solid epitaph for one of metal’s most breathtaking outfits. Re-pressed here on grim and ghoulish, limited-edition green vinyl.
